These pictures show the monarchs when they are resting in the trees in the morning. At sunset they settle in the trees, hanging from the leaves, sometimes even hanging from each other. At sunrise, they start to stir, flapping their wings and then taking off, one by one. We first saw them as we went to the north end of the park on our walk. Each time around there were less and less. We even saw some of them as the started to stir and take off. I tried to take a video of it but it didn't turn out.
