Blessings of our mission.

The blessings of our mission are already kicking in. While we were in training in the Provo Temple on Thursday I got a message that my father was going into surgery for a perforated bowel. We were already set to return home on Thursday because our training was complete. I was told, when we got to the hospital after getting home from the MTC, that when he went into surgery he was high risk for the surgery because of his age. He came through surgery just fine. The doctor kept him on the ventilator, just so his body didn't have to work to breath on it's own. They are planning on removing it this morning. He was heavily sedated when we were there yesterday, so not able to talk to him. We will stop by this morning before heading out for Mexico to see how he is doing. There is no way that Lynn & I can not leave for our mission. Our family need these blessings. Just as Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball left family sick as well as themselves being sick, we are leaving with faith in the Lord that all will be well and putting it in the Lord's hands.
